After the success of last years summer schools we are thrilled to be offering 3 jam packed weeks again!
We are so thrilled to be finally planning our next show….The Circus in July 2022. All students from reception year and above will be invited to take part in this exciting event. The first consent form has now been emailed out so please make sure you get this filled out asap so we can get planning!
Our competition team are finally getting back on stage (fingers crossed) on January 8th for their very own showcase of work. Please come and show your support for our team at Queen Marys college central studios from 1-2pm. These students have been working very hard on solos, duets and group dances, most of which is their very own choreography! Good luck team!
A huge congratulations to all our students who took their Acrobatic Arts exams on Sunday 5th December. Every single student received a distinction which is the highest award available. We are so proud of you all!

All students from school year R and above will be involved!
A reminder of our summer school dates and times, we absolutely cant wait for our summer of fun! Weeks one, two and three will be a huge mix of all styles, week four is Acro only for all our budding acrobats, or those of would like to give it a try. Our new September timetable is now live on the timetable page….a few changes but hopefully not too many! Plenty of new classes including Senior Musical Theatre, Silver Swans (over 55’s ballet), more dance to your own tune classes plus a few new additions to our Whitchurch venue. Our new shop at the studio is opening along with the start of term! Come down and check it out and get all your uniform ready to start back to dancing. We are pleased to announce we will be running a summer school over 4 weeks of the summer at our studio in Overton. There are classes running daily for all age groups so please get in touch for more information or to book a spot.

5 girls completed their RAD ballet exams right before the national lockdown was announced after Christmas. The results were amazing will all distinctions and Merits.
19 girls took part in Acrobatic Arts exams on February 14th live on zoom, we had a massive 16 distinctions and 3 excellent’s. Well done to all who took part, it was a brilliant experience.
Our students created and learnt dances during the first 5 weeks of term in all of their zoom classes. With these dances filmed we managed to create our virtual showcase. The result was amazing! well done to all our pupils who took part. Please enjoy the show….
9 very brave students allowed me to film their RAD ballet exams all very last minute before the lockdown started....the results are in and I'm so very proud, all merits and distinctions! A huge well done to all of them, what an achievement during 2020.
Sadly we will be back on Zoom from Monday 9th November after the announcement of our second lockdown. You can enrol for these zoom classes via our online portal once registered as a student. Fingers crossed it wont be for too long and we can all be back in the studio together soon!

The children have all settled in wonderfully and we are enjoying our new studio home so much!
We are finally re-opening! We are very excited to announce that Marina School of Dance is moving home to a beautiful new studio in Overton from September. Our new timetable is out and enrolment has started, the majority of classes are happening in the new studio but we also are doubling up on ballet classes in Whitchurch. Check out the timetable for more information.
Due to current government guidelines all our classes have now moved to online and will take place via zoom. This isnt as scary as it sounds! Everyone has very quickly adapted to this new way of working. We are looking forward to returning to face to face classes as soon as it is safe to do so.
After the success of our 10 year anniversary show we are now enrolling new students in all our classes. Please contact us now to book your space for January. All classes are starting back week commencing January 6th. We look forward to meeting all our new pupils!
This Autumn term sees the 10 year anniversary of Marina School of Dance. We are celebrating with our annual show at ‘The Lights’ taking place on December 1st. This year our show will be ‘The Nutcracker and Other Stories’ featuring all our dancers.
